Live out Loud ("LOL", "we", "us", "our") is a social platform that rewards users for real-world activities. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal information. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
When you create an account, we collect your email address and display name. As you use the platform, we store content you post (text, images, videos), your fitness goals, event RSVPs, poll votes, quiz responses, and LOLcoin balances. We also store technical data needed to operate your account, such as connection requests and notification history.
We do not collect precise location data. If you provide a zip code for event filtering, it is stored on your profile and used only for that purpose.
We use your information to operate and improve Live out Loud, including displaying your posts to other users, tracking your LOLcoin earnings, matching you with local events, and maintaining your account. We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not use your data for targeted advertising.
Your data is stored securely using Supabase, a hosted database platform. Images and videos you upload are stored in Supabase Storage. We use reasonable security measures to protect your data, but no method of electronic storage is 100% secure.
We use the following third-party services:
Supabase — database and authentication. Netlify — web hosting. Google Fonts — typography. These services may collect standard web analytics data such as IP addresses and browser type as part of their normal operations.
You can view, edit, or delete your posts and profile information at any time within the app. To request complete deletion of your account and all associated data, contact us at the email below. We will process deletion requests within 30 days.
Live out Loud is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected information from a child under 13, we will delete it promptly.
LOLcoins are a virtual reward within the Live out Loud platform. They currently have no monetary value and cannot be exchanged for cash. The LOLcoin system may evolve over time, and any changes will be reflected in updates to this policy and our terms of service.
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
